7-step Application Process to Become an Issuer

Step 1: Create an account

  • Enter email address
  • Agree to Terms & Conditions & Privacy Policy to proceed to next step
  • Verify your email address by entering the 6-character code sent to your email address
  • Create a password
  • What shall we call you – give yourself a unique username that will be visible on your profile for all other users on the platform to identify you by.

Step 2: Pay listing fee

  • Click on Pay Listing Fee – you will be taken to the Go to Wallet screen
  • Click on Go to Wallet – it will take you to a KYC process that you need to complete to access your wallet.
  • Enter your mobile number - a 6-character verification code will be send to the mobile number you enter.
  • Create a PIN for your Wallet - this is an important step.
  • Pay non-refundable listing fee of $7.50. (These fees go toward the verification costs of our third party identity verification platform - Veriff.)

Step 3: Verify your identity

Please have some form of personal identification ready, i.e., Passport, ID Card, Driver's License or Residence Permit.

  • Enter your First and Last names
  • Tick the boxes on the redirect screen to certify your personal details and to agree to Veriff ‘s Terms and Conditions and proceed to the Identity verification process. (Veriff is a trusted and renowned identity verification service provider who is used across the globe by top-level companies.)
  • You will receive an on-screen notification as soon as your identity was successfully verified.

Step 4: Create your Issuer profile

  • Your Xchange

Make sure to select the active Xchange that represents you and your sphere of influence, talent, and expertise the best.

  • Personal details
  • Upload a clear, quality profile image in jpeg/jpg format that will display as your avatar on your profile. You can do so by using the camera on your device to take a photo or upload a photo from your gallery.
  • Choose a display name – this is the name that people will see on your StaX certificate under which you are professionally known. You can either use your real name, or choose a name people are more familiar with, e.g., “Lady Gaga” or “The Rock”.
  • Confirm your username – this will display on your profile, posts, and comments as a unique identifier/tag.
  • About you
  • This is the section where your fans and app users can learn more about who you are, and why they should support you.
  • Add some images/videos that will demonstrate or illustrate what you are all about in your area of expertise.  
  • Write a short bio about yourself and your achievements and aspirations
  • Social links
  • We require that you link at least one social media account to your profile and currently this is limited to Twitter only, with other social media platforms being added soon.
  • Click on the Sign in button to link Twitter to your profile.

Step 5: Create your StaX Certificate

This section contains the information that will display on your StaX Certificate, which is the most important feature on your profile – this is the trading card that people will receive when they bid on or buy your StaX.  How your BaseStaX is going to look, is ultimately dependent on the image you choose and how you edit that image.

  • Information - All the information that will be displayed on your StaX is explained in this section:
  • YOUR DISPLAY NAME: the name that will display on your StaX Certificate
  • CHARITABLE GIVING: the percentage you want to designate to charities
  • XCHANGE & CATEGORY: the Xchange and category selected for your passion and/or talent
  • PERSONAL INFORMATION: your real name or nick name that will display in capital letters
  • GPX: Shows as a value / 1000 after your first auction, based on trading activity and interaction
  • OWNER: displays the username of the person who owns your StaX
  • MARKET PRICE & FLUCTUATION: the last price at which your StaX were bought and ensuing fluctuation
  • CIRCULATION:  the amount of your StaX currently circulating in the market.
  • Imagery
  • This image is the focal point of your StaX certificate - add an image that will represent you best. A torso shot (half body) is preferred.
  • Important: The background must be removed from the image you use.  Our onboarding platform allows you to remove the background and gives you 3 attempts to get it right.
  • You can scale the image to the size you want and position it where you want it on your StaX - refer to Figure 3 above to give you an idea about the dimensions.
  •  Adjustments
  • You can use any of the tools on the Adjustments screen to fine tune your BaseStaX. It allows you to adjust or reset:
  • Contrast
  • Brightness
  • Saturation
  • Save and Exit if you want to complete your StaX at a later stage.
  • Click on Complete BaseStax if you are satisfied with your StaX certificate.

Step 6: Submit for approval

  • You will be notified via email when your profile has been approved.
  • You will not be able to edit your submission during this process.

Step 7: Go live

Click on Go Live when you are ready for your profile to be visible on VirtualStaX.
